BDoY depends for its existence on the support it receives from competing operators (who pay entry fees for their drivers) and the generosity of sponsors who help fund the prize money and the cost of all our trophies. The drivers who take part in the National Final in Blackpool, really do appreciate the involvement of the various suppliers to the companies they work for, many of whose names are familiar to them, and they recognise that this unique competition, unlike most other industry events, is aimed at – and thoroughly enjoyed by – the men and women at the sharp end, whose daily interface with the travelling public is crucial to an operator’s success.

Sponsoring companies are given due recognition in all our publicity material, including the banners spread around the room at both the National Final gala dinner and the awards presentation ceremony, as well as in a backdrop for photographs of trophy winners. We also issue a press release to the transport media to underline sponsors' involvement with BDoY.
