Acknowledgements   The Council welcomes the considerable support of Route One, not only for incorporating the National Final programme in Route One but also for the magazine's valuable promotion of the competition throughout the year. We would also like to thank Coach and Bus Week for generously allowing permission to reproduce photographs from their publications on this website.   The Council gratefully acknowledges the support of the Road Operator's Safety Council, Blackpool Borough Tourism and Attractions, Lancashire Constabulary, Raynet (Fylde area) and all other organisations which have provided assistance, equipment and staff. Special thanks are extended to competitors and their employers and to the organisers of the qualifying events leading up to the National Final. Thanks are also due to Council Member Bill Holmes for his most generous donation of an engraved pen to each National Finalist.   Most of the buses used for the final will be young - if not brand new - and every year the competing drivers ask for their thanks to be passed on to the donor companies.
